Chairperson: 

Becky Dan is a Nashville, TN resident who volunteers as an Officer on the Board of Directors for the Granting Dreams Foundation and currently serves in the capacity of Chairperson.

Her professional career has included several years as the marketing and promotion manager for various network television stations throughout the Southeast. Currently she is the marketing manager for Stites & Harbison, a Southeast regional law firm with eight offices in five states. Becky also serves as a volunteer puppy raiser and area coordinator for Southeastern Guide Dogs, an organization that provides guide dogs free-of-charge to blind individuals. Last fall, she founded “Seedlings in the City” a group of volunteers who plant trees in Nashville neighborhoods.

Becky is a native of Danville, Kentucky, and a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University.

Sheina is the senior accountant for Manatee County School District, having held that position since July 2007.  In that capacity, she helps to plan, budget and monitor capital projects and investments for one of the largest school districts in the state of Florida.  Previously, she served as grants accountant for the same school district in the administration of all state, federal, and local grants.  Earlier in her non-profit career she held various positions in the finance department of Bartow County School District in Cartersville, Georgia.  Prior to the year 2000 she held positions as controller and accountant at several for-profit corporations in Sarasota, Florida.  Since entering the not-for-profit arena she has served on many different committees and fundraising endeavors, including the annual United Way fund raising efforts in Manatee County.  She also participates in fundraising efforts for the American Brain Tumor Association which became dear to her own heart after losing a son to brain cancer when he was only ten years old.  Throughout the year she volunteers her time to help single women with children transition back into the business world; even helping those interested in owning their own business fill out the necessary paperwork and set-up accounting systems and procedures for their new businesses.  Sheina received her bachelor of arts in accounting and finance from American InterContinental University in Buckhead, Georgia, where she is still an active member of the alumnae association.  She received her master of business administration in accounting from Brenau University in Gainsville, Georgia where she has recently received an invitation to become a member of the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi.
